nevada. for 30 years, republicans and democrats in nevada have said they don't want nuclear waste buried in nevada. anything that touches the local state touches the constituents, and touches the people who are going to vote for them. when we get to national issues, however, it is different situation. the number out of 233 republicans and house, only 16 of them were elected from districts carried by president obama. up to 200 democrats -- of the 200 democrats, only eight or nine or elected from districts carried by governor romney. that means the greatest danger to these republicans and democrats is in the primaries. what happens if you or a member of congress, you are great concern is to protect yourself in those primaries from people coming at you from the left and right. congresswoman edwards touched on it. there is only one way around this. it takes leadership to provide cover in politics, to get people the courage to stand up and do what is right. how do you get there? members of congress -- i have been in this town for 30 years. they don't know each other anymore. they don't spend

, nevada, all of those governors will be interesting to see how many of them are very vulnerable in 2014 or not. christie, obviously, is the 2013 -- not very null vulnerable. maine, very vulnerable. this could be where some of the action is here. democratic legislatures here. here are the places where there are democratic governors and a divided legislature. arkansas, missouri and montana. arkansas is sort of the lone holdout in the south where republicans have gotten everything. but they have super majorities in places like missouri and arkansas. so they have effectively -- they can override any veto of the democratic governor, whether it's tax rates, any of those things. so they have effective control on that front. let's look at this, the other places where there is divided government in iowa, the house and senate. the governor there, republican governor. new hampshire, oh, you've seen there, not surprising. washington state, a little surprising. since it's a state with democratic dominance, if you will. and kentucky, a little surprising, since it's a state with republican dominance.

will give a speech in las vegas, nevada. he was supposed to outline his own plan for immigration, but now he's going to take these eight senators' plan for immigration and say he's on board. why doesn't he just present his own plan, maria? >> well, i actually think it's smart of the white house to take the plan of the gang of eight in the senate and say that the president supports it. there will be some differences. the white house has outlined some of the differences the president will talk about today. we know that he wants, perhaps, a smoother and easier way path to citizenship. i think that's smart, too, because if you can look at the plan from the white house and then take the plan from the senators, there's some differences there. there is a place to negotiate. there is a place -- a place to meet in the middle. because this is still very much an uphill battle. i think that you have senators that understand what needs to be done. and they have been -- they have been speaking very forthrightly and smartly, i think. there are still a lot of republicans both in the house and in the senate
